HOW the Bounce Free! Sport Bra happened...........
Hi - they say Need is the Mother of Invention. Isn't that it??
Well, I was Drag racing snowmobiles, and parts testing for Northern Lites, a snowmobile fabrication company - and we rode 500 miles in 4 days - on ungroomed trails. Well, if you have ever ridden a snowmobile - you can understand my pain. Owwww, I really hurt - up there............ ;o(
I bought lots of sportsbras, but none of them worked very well. This was back in 1998, and there were not a lot of sport bras at all way back then. I ended up designing a bra the way I wanted one (not the way a male designer wanted to do it).
First off, I wanted a front opening sportbra, so I didn't have to wrestle out of it after a hot sweaty work out - ya' know what I mean? !!
I didn't like small cutesy straps that cut into my shoulders when I did high impact activities, so the Bounce Free! has wide, padded straps.
Tired of wearing two and three sportsbras that just rode around and chafed, and didn't work any better than one did - I designed the Bounce Free with three layers of material over the breasts ! Unique! The cup on the inside shapes and gives natural support. The outer two layers give you the ultimate amount of lift and control.
The outer layer is attached to the shoulder with Velcro, so it is fully adjustable. Imagine that ! ONE sportsbra for ALL the activities you want to do. (not the way the male designers at the big companies want - they make lots of SKU's so we have to buy lots of different bras for all our activities. - I've HAD this conversation with them.) They think women who do low impact activities don't do high impact activities. Well, I told 'em - "I do BOTH", and I bet a LOT of you gals do too. Just yoga and then kick boxing., for an example. Lunging your horse, then getting on and jumping jumps in cross country. Etc Etc.
Designed by a woman - for women.
Long story - short, I ended up with a California designer who set me up with a major lingerie manufacturer, and as he said to me "Now you're in business Girl". Check out our website: www.Esportsbra.com
Come back and check - we now have plus size sportsbra to fit 46 DD, 48 DD and 50 DDD. Also check, we may be doing more Hawaiian print Bounce Free! sport bras for the summer.
Byeeee for now.

Not sure how I ended up here on your blog - but I'm SO glad I did. Nice to find someone who understands the whole situation. Can you enlighten me on some suggestions for how to get a good fit for a sports bra? Always a struggle for me to find one that is snug enough for support without cutting in uncomfortably under arms and around my back. I've looked at your site and the adjusting features of your bra sound promising. But -- how to fit????
Hi Sadie - and thanks for writing. On our website www.Esportsbra.com we have a page that gives suggestions on how and where to measure yourself to find the right size. It is best if you have someone else do the measuring, so your body is standing naturally.
Our Bounce Free! fits snuggly, but comfortably. The " Adjust - a - Fit " (TM) feature allows you to adjust the straps for good compression to hold your "girls" close to the chest, which is what the doctors say we need - to protect your ligaments from breaking down, and to avoid the pain we all feel when we are working out.
IF you have more questions, write again, or, give us a call. (509) 796-5524.......... let it ring, it sometimes takes us a long time to get to the phone.
